British Airways förbättrar förmåner och förlänger status (20:e sept. 2021)

With immediate effect, all Executive Silver and Gold members can use

the pre-flight dining facility at North American lounges.

The major British Airways lounges in the United States contain a restaurant.

The idea is that customers can eat a full meal and then maximise their sleep on what is often a very short flight back to the UK.





From today, all Executive Club Gold Guest List members can use the Concorde Room lounges.

This change will impact anyone who earns more than 3,000, but fewer than 5,000, Executive Club tier points per year.





Who gets an extension?

Only members with a tier point collection end date between the 1st January 2022 and 31st March 2022 will receive protection / an extension.



This means that British Airways has chosen to limit the status extensions to those whose status was set to expire in Spring 2022 –

ie. those whose membership year resets on 8th January 2022, 8th February 2022 or 8th March 2022.

Tack för den VA. Gold ett år till. Sedan jag blev guld har jag lyckats använda förmånerna en gång innan pandemin slog till. Men med nya regler på restriktioner borde London vara nära snart igen, skulle behöva fylla på lagret med skjortor om inte annat.

Samma här, men reducerat antalet TPs är bara förlängt med 6månader, från 30:e juni till december.

Har man inte kommit över gränsen innan dess så höjs ribban.

och det bör ju gälla för alla.

Ja, köper alltid i London på Jermyn Street. Bra kvalité till låga priser jämfört med mycket annat och skjortor som passar mig bra.

Ligger ju fler butiker än just denna på aktuell gata, perfekt att klara av inköpen på 100 meter shopping så är man klar sen.

Skulle ju självklart gå att beställa online, men alltid smidigt när man får lite personlig service och får en anledning att sitta några timmar i Galleries First.

Bra av BA med tanke på senaste utvecklingen, för att inte ha dragit in ca 1000 TP i onödan nu så bör jag alltså sikta mot GGL. Det var oklart tidigare, finns ju en låååång tråd på flyertalk där det inte nåtts någon enighet,

och det är ju inte så mycket klarare nu.

Update: I have adjusted the article because BA asked me too.



However, I am sure BA is talking nonsense.

Are they seriously expecting global travel to be back to normal in 18 days time?

It would need to be, if someone with an 8th January year end is expected to earn the full 1,500 tier points

between 9th Jan 2022 and 8th Jan 2023.



We will find out if I am right or wrong on 9th January, because those with a Jan year-end will

either see a requirement for 1,125 tier points for Gold or 1,500.

Vad är idag den reducerade nivån för GGL, 2500TP eller 3500TP?
Om jag tolkar så kommer den reducerade nivån gälla hela 2022, har jag förstått det rätt?

Om du inte är GGL sedan tidigare kommer du att behöva 3750 TP ( 5000 - 25%) för att nå GGL. Har du GGL innan räcker det med 2250 TP ( 3000 - 25%). Är osäker på hur tidpunkterna för de reducerade nivåerna ska tolkas.

Var lite sugen att "dunka" iväg några F resor till USA för att snabbt nå Guld och därmed bestämma senare om det är värt att satsa på GGL.
