Incheckning av bagage Finnair - Emirates

Hej, checkade nyss in på AY till HKG för att sedan flyga vidare till BKK med EK. Jag har separata biljetter men blev förvånad över att jag i HKG måste hämta ut väskan och checka den på nytt. Kan man faktiskt inte Checka väskan mellan olika biljetter om det är bolag utanför allianserna?

Är det separata biljetter är det upp till resenären själv att checka ut



köper du en genomgående resa (ofta dyrare iofs) så har bolagen ansvaret att checka de hela vägen

Det är upp till flygbolaget att bestämma om de vill checka in bagaget hela vägen på två separata biljetter. Det måste också finnas ett så kallat "interline agreement" mellan de två flygbolagen.

På Hong Kong kan du försöka checka in till Emirates flyg på airside.


Eftersom Finnair och Emirates har interlining avtal, så kan det vara värt att försöka.




FYI, jag fick checka om väskan mellan Cathay Pacific och THAI på Hong Kong flygplatsen airside. Det var separata biljetter.


Cathay Pacific personal var jättetrevlig och hjälpsam.

Airside betyder i praktiken? D.v.s. är det möjligt att få ett 'färdigtaggat' bagage ommärkt till den andra biljettens slutdestination under resans gång?

Ja. Det är enda flygplats (enligt min erfarenhet)i världen som klarar att ta hand om färdigcheckade väska på det viset.




Jag tror att anledningen av att de klarar detta är, att de erbjuder Hong Kong flygplats-Kina färja transfer med incheckad väska som har HKG som slutdestination. Så de har redan infrastruktur att hantera väskan airside.

Finnair är kända för att tramsa rejält med through check. Trots att de numer har interlineavtal med PG vägrar de konsekvent att checka väskor till Koh Samui.


När jag tog upp det med dom hänvisade de till thailändska tullbestämmelser.


Jag påpekade då att USM har egen tull, och skiljer ut CIQ passagerare och deras bagage utan problem. Samt att TG inte har några problem att checka även PG-sektorn till USM trots att de är direkta konkurrenter på sträckan.




Damen på AY:s platinumkundservice (!) snäste då av mig med ett "Som jag nyss sa så beror det på thailändska tullbestämmelserna!"...

Baggage Clearance:

- Baggage is cleared at the first airport of entry in

Thailand. Exempt:

- 1. baggage of transit passengers with a final destination

within Thailand being Chiang Mai International Airport

(CNX), Chiang Rai International Airport (CEI), Hat Yai

International Airport (HDY), Phuket International Airport

(HKT), Koh Samui Airport (USM), Krabi International Airport

(KBV), provided connectiing flights is operated by Bangkok

Airways (PG) or Thai Airways (TG), through Bangkok

Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) and does not

include a transfer to Bangkok Don Muang (DMK);

2. baggage of transit passengers with a destination outside

of Thailand.



Import:

- Free import by each passenger holding a passport of his own,

irrespective of age:

1. 200 cigarettes or 250 grammes of tobacco or equal weight

of cigars;

2. 1 litre of alcoholic liquor;

3. One still camera with 5 rolls of film or one movie camera

with 3 rolls of 8 or 16 mm. film.

- Free import for non-residents:

- for holders of transit visas or who can obtain a visa on

arrival: up to THB 10,000 per person or THB 20,000 per

family.

- for holders of tourist visas: up to THB 20,000 per person

or THB 40,000 per family.

- Prohibited (without licence):

1. Firearms and ammunition incl. explosive articles and

fireworks, drugs of narcotic nature, e.g. heroin.

2. Gold bullion. Moreover it must be declared on arrival and

can, if no import licence is available, be left in Customs

bond at the airport of entry to be retrieved on departure.

3. Meat from any country affected by Bovine Spongiform

Encephalopathy (BSE) or mad cow and foot-and-mouth diseases.

The measure covers meat from all EU Member States

normally carried on person).



Crew Members:

Pets:

- Import: must be accompanied by a health certificate,

completed in English and signed or further endorsed by a

full-time authorized veterinary official of the government

of the exporting country and are subject to taxation (to

find applicable tariff, please refer to:

igtf.customs.go.th/igtf/en/main_frame.jsp). Dogs and cats

also need a rabies certificate if the country has not been

rabies free for at least the past 12 months. Any person

wishing to import or transit animals or birds into/through

Thailand should confirm prior to transportation the exact

flight itinerary and arrival date, together with details of

the animal(s) (i.e. breed, sex and quantity) with the

Bangkok Airport Animal Quarantine Station, at the following:

banned the importation of the following into Thailand:

Pitbull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier.

Tack! Borde fan maila dem denna, ett riktigt elände att ta sig runt hela Swampy helt i onödan, speciellt om det är förseningar.

Men som sagt, AY är kända för att strula med interlining utan att nån förstår varför.

De har ju t o m code share med PG.
