Path to Eurobonus Gold - worth it?

Hi,



I have Amex Premium + EB Mastercard Premium. Status as below. I'll not get 20000 basic points by end of September. Would be worth it to upgrade to Amex Elite (considering I have also Amex Platinum) just to get the 20000 basic points and get the EB Gold? In case I upgrade, will I get those 20000 immediately and, are they counting towards Gold?

You'll get 20k status points (not basic points). They're count toward your status and usually they're transfered within a month to your account.
