Uppgradering av en SAS biljett opererad av Thai Airways

Om man köper en SAS-biljett i ekonomi för en flygning opererad av Thai kan man uppgradera biljetten till PE eller business med eurobonuspoäng?

Ja det kan man, men eftersom det är Thai som utför flygningen är det en Star Alliance uppgradering som gäller och dessa brukar vara ganska dyra och gäller endast för vissa bokningsklasser (mestadels dyra biljetter).

Dock brukar Thai erbjuda uppgradering mot betalning på exempelvis Arlanda, men det är inte jättebilligt.

• An eligible flight in a valid class must be booked and confirmed in the reservation.
• Can be booked up to 24 hours prior to respective flight departure.
• The reservation must be ticketed, irrespectively if it is an e-ticket or a paper ticket.
• The original class booked applies as the basis for points regardless of upgrades.
• The same number of points is required for upgrades, whether the passengers are adults or children.
• Code-share, if the ticket is bought on SK 3611 (marketing flight number) and Lufthansa is the operating carrier, upgrade cannot be performed on SK 3611.
• Maximum two flights and four passengers can be upgraded in one reservation.
• Upgrade to the next premium cabin only and not possible on code-share flights.
• Member will earn points according to the original reservation.
• Member, paying for the upgrade with points from his/her account does not need to participate in the journey.
• The traveller receives travel/service benefits based on upgraded class, e.g. check-in counters, priority baggage, baggage allowance and lounge access.
• Changes cannot be performed online, member must contact each operating airlines call centre.
• Changes of a confirmed upgrade, without loosing expired points, can only be done to another flight with the same airline/date/routing (same airport codes).
• For changes to another airline/date/routing, a cancellation must be performed and a new reservation must be made.
• The Star Alliance Upgrade Award is based on segment by segment. Note, traffic between/within zones may not always be operated by Star Alliance.
• For cancellation and rebooking please contact the operating carrier directly.
• Capacity restrictions apply and upgrades from certain types of fares are not permissible.
• Not all participating airlines allows upgrade for infants.
• Number of seats available is limited.

Star alliance upgrade fungerar bara från Y till C och F, inte PE.

Man kan väl köpa en SAS-biljett (biljett från SAS) och ha ett TG leg på biljetten utan att det för den delen behöver vara codeshare? I så fall borde det vara ok att uppgradera, eller? Man borde kunna få in detta på 117 stock tex: GOT-ARN-BKK där GOT-ARN har SK-nr och ARN-BKK har TG-nr?
