CES 2022 - Vi som åker dit och hur vi gör det!

Jag bodde några nätter på Motel 6 på Tropical Ave.

Nära flygplatsen när jag kom fram sent på kvällen (skönt med "kort" taxiresa). Enkel check in, några steg till rummet, riktigt skön säng, rent/fräscht, inte så bra frukost dock som bestod av starkt kaffe, muffins, frukt, yoghurt.



1h promenad från LVCC men bara 500m från MGM Monorail.

Högst upp har du Tech East (LVCC b.la).



Lika långt bort har du även Tech West (Venetian, Wynn etc).

Jag tycker "Tower"-delen på Luxor varit bra. Vettiga priser och som ett "vanligt" hotell. Från lobbyn går man direkt vidare till dessa två byggnader och slipper passera genom casinon o.s.v. som på flera andra hotell i Vegas. Det har också legat bra placerat för de event jag deltagit i på Mandalay Bay Convention Center och T-Mobile Arena.

Bodde i Luxor ett år jag var där och bokade inte specifikt tower delen (kostar lite extra) och blev då varse hur stort Las Vegas näst största hotell är. Puh. Kändes som vi fick rummet längst bort från incheckning.

Ska börja kika på lite flyg. Vad har ni andra för dagar / tider / flight?
 
Åker 1/1 till CPH, sedan CPH-LAX 2/1. Hem samma väg 9/1. Hyr bil och kör mellan Los Angeles och Las Vegas, med planerat golf-stopp i Palm Springs på vägen till Las Vegas.
 
Åker 5:e via CPH och SFO, sen hem den 10:e via LAX och CPH. Bokade Hilton Tropicana tills vidare.

Jag har en fallback-bokning på Hilton Tropicana, som jag nu ser har gått ner med 200 USD. Vet inte riktigt var jag hamnar till slut och är öppen för förslag.

Test har jag inte bokat än, men räknar med Vaccina ca 48h innan avgång.

Best Western North Las Vegas.

Mest sannolikt är att ta testet i Thailand innan jag åker tillbaka till Sverige och då till USA efter övernattning.
 
Kommer nog vara rejält lång kö för badge pick up den här gången. Har tagit max 30 min tidigare år direkt på LAS.

Below please find important details on updated health protocols and show entry process. Please read this email carefully to make your CES arrival and entry experience is as smooth as possible.



Arrival Instructions — CES 2022



1) Before You Leave Home

As a reminder, you must be FULLY vaccinated against COVID-19. Only individuals who are fully vaccinated will be able to pick up a CES badge and access CES in-person in Las Vegas. CES also recommends you test for COVID-19 prior to departing for Las Vegas. International travelers coming to the U.S. must have a COVID test within 24 hours before arriving in the U.S. — please check your airline website for more details. As a best practice we highly recommend attendees get a COVID booster vaccine and the flu vaccine, if available.



2) Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (REQUIRED)

You MUST show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend CES in Las Vegas. If you are unable to do so, you will not receive a CES 2022 badge to access the official show venues.




U.S. based attendees are encouraged to use CLEAR’s free mobile app and Health Pass feature to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and expedite their CES badge pick up. Learn more.
Non-U.S. based attendees, as well as U.S. based attendees who may be unable to use CLEAR, will need to provide their proof of vaccination at designated locations on-site. Learn more.
3) Pick up your badge BEFORE entering show facilities (REQUIRED)

You must pick up your own CES badge. You cannot pick up badges for other attendees.



If you are arriving at McCarran Airport, we recommend you use the Badge Pickup locations in the airport terminal, located in Terminals 1 and 3, to show your proof of vaccination and obtain your show badge.



If you are not using the CLEAR app, you must go to a designated Customer Service Center location to show your COVID-19 vaccine documentation. Customer Service Centers are located in public access areas before you reach the CES security checkpoint. Once you provide your proof of vaccination and pick up your badge, you will not need to verify your vaccination status again.



4) Test Before Entering a CES Venue

CES requests that you test for COVID-19 less than 24 hours before entering a CES venue.



CES will give you one complimentary Abbott BinaxNOW COVID-19 Antigen Self Test kit, provided by Abbott, when you collect your badge. Test kits are available at select Badge Pickup and Customer Service Center locations. If you pick up your badge at a location that does not have test kit distribution, you may go to one of the Customer Service Centers to pick up your test kit. NOTE: Each kit contains 2 tests.



CES recommends you use your complimentary Abbott BinaxNOW COVID-19 Self Test less than 24 hours before entering an official show venue. The test is easy to use, requires only a shallow nasal swab, takes 15 minutes and you can do it from the convenience of your hotel room.



During CES 2022



5) Mask during the Show (REQUIRED)

Masks are required for large indoor events in the State of Nevada. You will be required to wear masks as follows:




In exhibit booths and indoor exhibit facilities.
In conference and keynote rooms.
CES shuttle buses and any CES transportation services.
6) Test if you are experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms while at a CES venue, please immediately visit a First Aid area in the venue in which you are located to obtain a COVID-19 test.

7) PCR Tests for International Travelers Returning Home

CES will provide complimentary RT-PCR testing for attendees who are traveling back to their international destination and who require a test to travel. You will be required to present proof of outbound international travel within 72 hours to be eligible to receive your test at no charge.

Jag ställer också in, förutom det generella läget i USA och resandet dit just nu, så känns själva mässan nu också besvärlig att besöka på ett trevligt sätt.
