As part of the multi-hub, multi-airline and multi-brand system successfully established by the Lufthansa Group, the Italian airline will utilize numerous synergies, for example in world-wide sales, the loyalty program Miles & More or also in aircraft and fuel purchasing. ... Members of its existing loyalty program "Volare" will also be able to collect or use their miles with Miles & More from the first day after the closing. ... ITA Airways is aiming to join the Star Alliance in the near future.



Following intensive negotiations with the European Commission, the parties have agreed on a package of concessions. This essentially includes the transfer of slots at Milan-Linate Airport to a competitor in short-haul traffic. In the "neighboring traffic" between Italy and the Lufthansa Group's existing home markets, this competitor will take over single routes on which Lufthansa Group Airlines and ITA Airways still operate today as competitors. Additional feeder flights from Rome to hubs of European competitors will also ensure improved competition on long-haul routes from Rome to North America.



Det fanns spekulationer om att ITA inte skulle få gå med Star Alliance eller LH:s joint ventures som en del i eftergifterna till kommissionen. Uppenbarligen blev det inget krav avseende Star Alliance, utan ITA kommer att byta dit. Jag ser inget uttryckligen skrivet om joint ventures.

Allt detta är så dåligt för konkurrensen. Vi har i princip tre stora ägarbolag som fullständigt dominerar marknaden nu i Europa. Det är inte bra för någon annan än de bolagen.

Kan man tolka det som Lufthansa skriver här att ITA kommer byta bonusprogram till M&M?

Ja. Det stod även i pressmeddelandet som länkas i det första inlägget, som jag citerade i det andra inlägget. Men det står inget om exakt när.

När det gäller att använda sina Volare-poäng för flyg är det höljt i dunkel vad som gäller. Det enda som dyker upp när man bokar är en ruta man kan kryssa om man vill använda Volare-poängen. Jag sitter med ca 10 000 och dessa verkar ge 600-700 kr rabatt på en biljett. Så jag håller tummarna för att jag kan tjonga in poängen på M&M-konto.

Hvis man nu statusmatcher fra FB til Volaire, da kan man vel, naar LH overtager ITA, forvente at status i Volaire foelger med over i M&M? Derved kan man over et halvt aars tid matche et FB Platinum til et M&M senator, korrekt?
